Bringing a diverse background and a global influence as the head of Octagon’s Women’s Tennis division, Micky Lawler has been instrumental in the agency’s tennis efforts since joining the company in 1988. In addition to directing the women’s tennis division, Lawler also sits on the Sony-Ericsson Women’s Tennis Association Board of Directors.

Joining Octagon and quickly putting her global expertise to use, Lawler helped to open Octagon offices in London and Paris during her early tenure with the agency. Not to mention, she is fluent in five different languages and has lived all over the world, which allows her to constantly communicate on a global scale to better the game of tennis. Earning her Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Delaware, Micky speaks Dutch, Spanish, French, German, and English. She has lived in Holland, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Kenya, France, Belgium and England.

Along with serving on the Sony-Ericsson WTA Board, Micky has also played a vital role in player relations and establishing philanthropic initiatives for the WTA. Some of her accomplishments include:
Board of Directors-Tournament Representative. Was instrumental in bringing tournaments to countries like Chile, Mexico, India, Belgium, and Holland.
Conducted one-day educational seminars on behalf of the WTA for all female players, familiarizing them with the intricacies of being a professional tennis player.
